In Bali, you’ll find celery in all its forms—stalks, leaves, seeds, and even the root! It pops up in everything from celery salt to salads, some meat dishes, soups, garnishes and stock cubes; all of which can be found in a variety of foods from different cuisines including Balinese cooking.
Be careful to watch out for the following foods when eating in Bali:
Indonesian Cooking: Savory porridge (Bubur Ayam), Meatball Soup (Bakso), Crackers (Kerupuk), Stir fry food (Makanan Tumis), Fritters (Perkedel).
Ingredients found in other types of cuisines: Bouillon, curry, marmite, prepared salads, processed meat products, sausages, savory snacks , spice mixes, soups, vegetable juice, croquettes.
