Fortunately, lupin is rarely used in traditional Balinese or Indonesian cuisine. You're more likely to find lupin beans, seeds, and flour in Mediterranean and European dishes. However, in the evolving culinary landscape of Bali, it's possible that lupin might be incorporated into some modern or international dishes offered in restaurants across the island.
Be careful to watch out for the following foods when eating in Bali:
Lupin is typically found in the following: Crepes, deep-coated or fried vegetables such as onion rings, pancakes, pastry cases, pies, pizzas, products containing crumb, vegetarian meat substitutes, waffles
